Mystery Surrounds Shefali Jariwala's Death: Heart Attack or Something Else?
The untimely death of model and actress Shefali Jariwala has sent shockwaves across the film industry. Initially reported as a heart attack, her passing has raised questions, with police now investigating whether it was indeed a cardiac event or if other factors were involved.
Shefali, popularly known as the ‘Kata Laga Girl’, reportedly fell seriously ill at home, following which her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, rushed her to Bellevue Multispecialty Hospital in Mumbai. However, she was declared dead on arrival. The incident occurred late Thursday night, and around 1 a.m. on Friday, Mumbai Police and a forensic team reached her residence in Andheri. Those present at the scene, including the cook and the domestic help, were taken to the Amboli Police Station for questioning.
What Caused Her Death?
The circumstances surrounding Shefali’s death have raised several eyebrows. While doctors initially attributed her death to a heart attack, further details have emerged suggesting she had been undergoing medical treatment in recent days. Shefali had reportedly been suffering from epilepsy for over 15 years. Her husband, Parag Tyagi, confirmed that she was on regular medication for the condition.
According to investigators, Shefali was also taking Vitamin C and Glutathione supplements, which are commonly used to improve skin complexion. However, medical experts have clarified that these supplements have no known impact on the heart.
Police have recorded statements from multiple individuals, including Shefali’s husband, who reiterated that she was undergoing treatment. Authorities say the final cause of death will only be determined after the autopsy report is released.
Viral Video and Last Interview
Following her death, a video of Shefali’s past interview has gone viral. In it, when asked if she was tired of being recognized only as the ‘Kata Laga Girl’, she smiled and responded:
"There can only be one Kata Girl in the whole world, and I’m happy that it’s me. I should be known as the Kata Girl until I die."
Husband Seen in Tears Outside Hospital
In a widely circulated video from outside the hospital, Parag Tyagi was seen leaving the facility visibly shaken, his eyes filled with tears. The emotional footage reflects the depth of the loss he has suffered.
As Bollywood grieves the loss of Shefali Jariwala, known for her charm, talent, and vibrant personality, questions remain. Was her death truly due to natural causes, or is there more to uncover? The police investigation continues.
