A very grand and valuable statue will soon be installed in the premises of the Ram Lalla temple in Ayodhya. This 10-foot tall and 8-foot wide statue, shining like gold, is studded with diamonds, emeralds, and other gems. This statue, donated by an unknown devotee from Karnataka, arrived in Ayodhya on Tuesday evening, and its estimated value is 25 to 30 crore rupees.
Dr. Anil Mishra, a member of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, said that it is still unclear who sent the statue. Its weight is being checked, and it is estimated to be around 5 quintals. This statue, crafted according to South Indian sculpture, is planned to be installed at Angad Teela near the Sant Tulsidas temple. Before installation, there will be an unveiling and consecration ceremony, which will include participation from saints and mahants from across the country.
The 1750-kilometer distance from Karnataka to Ayodhya was completed in a special van in 5 to 6 days. This statue, which arrived at the Ram temple complex at 3:30 PM on Tuesday evening, was unveiled there. According to sources, devotees from Karnataka collectively prepared this statue, and skilled artisans from Tanjore gave it an artistic form. The type of metal has not yet been determined. It is believed that this grand statue will give a new boost to Ayodhya's religious tourism.
