A mild but significant earthquake struck Delhi and surrounding areas this morning, causing brief panic among residents. The tremor, measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale, was felt across Delhi, Noida, and Ghaziabad at approximately 9:04 AM.

According to the National Center for Seismology, the epicentre of the quake was located in Jhajjar, Haryana. The seismic activity lasted for nearly 10 seconds, and while no immediate damage or casualties have been reported, the tremors were strong enough to be felt across several northern states.

Reports confirm that the tremors extended beyond the National Capital Region, with parts of western Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan also experiencing mild shocks.
