(India - US Trade Deal) According to the Ministry of Commerce, positive developments have been observed in the discussions on the bilateral trade agreement between India and the United States. Both countries are actively striving to achieve a mutually beneficial agreement.
The American delegation was led by Brendan Lynch, while the Indian side was guided by Rajesh Agrawal, Special Secretary of the Department of Commerce. Ministry officials stated that the discussions were forward-looking and useful, especially against the backdrop of the tensions created by the 50% import duty imposed by the United States on India.
Both countries are now ready for discussions through a visionary system and a date for a face-to-face meeting will be set soon. Officials have also stated that a mutually beneficial agreement will be reached soon.
After the previous five rounds, the sixth round was to be held between August 25 and 29, but it was postponed due to import duties. Now both countries are preparing for the next stage.
