Amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan, the Border Security Force (BSF) has achieved a significant breakthrough by eliminating seven terrorists affiliated with the Jaish-e-Mohammed group. The attempted infiltration from across the border was foiled during an intense encounter near the Line of Control.

Tensions have been escalating rapidly since May 7, when India launched Operation Sindoor and destroyed nine terrorist camps in Pakistan in response to the Pahalgam terror attack. In retaliation, Pakistan has launched multiple drone and missile attacks on Indian cities over the past two days. Indian forces have successfully intercepted all attacks and have destroyed several missiles along with parts of Pakistan's air defense systems. A Pakistani pilot was also captured after his aircraft violated Indian airspace.

Jaish Terror Plot Foiled by BSF

In the latest development, BSF personnel intercepted a group of terrorists attempting to infiltrate Indian territory under the cover of darkness. The intruders, believed to be operatives of the Jaish-e-Mohammed terror outfit, were challenged by Indian forces, leading to a fierce gunfight.

During the exchange of fire, all seven infiltrators were neutralized. The encounter marks a major blow to terrorist efforts to destabilize the region amid the ongoing conflict. The BSF has confirmed that the situation is now under control and a search operation is underway to ensure there are no remaining threats in the area.

Security along the border has been further tightened, and intelligence agencies are maintaining close surveillance to prevent additional infiltration attempts.
