Operation Sindoor: Pakistan Air Force Circulates Fake Video; PIB confirmed
In the wake of the recent Pahalgam terror attack that claimed the lives of 26 civilians, India has reportedly retaliated by launching precision airstrikes on terrorist camps located in Pakistan. According to sources, nine terror camps were targeted, resulting in the elimination of over 100 militants. Photographs and videos purportedly showing the aftermath of the strikes have since gone viral across social media platforms.
However, amidst the flurry of circulating media, Pakistan has allegedly released falsified videos claiming to show a counterstrike on India’s Srinagar Airbase by the Pakistan Air Force. These claims have been debunked by the Press Information Bureau (PIB) of India, which confirmed that the videos in question are neither recent nor related to India.
The PIB clarified that the footage being shared by Pakistani sources is actually old and unrelated to current events. It further stated that the visuals originated from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, and date back to earlier in 2024. Authorities have urged citizens to rely on official sources for updates and to refrain from sharing unverified or misleading content on social media.
