The ongoing war in the Gaza Strip has created a severe humanitarian crisis. Israeli attacks, Hamas counterattacks, and obstacles to aid have resulted in thousands of civilian deaths. The lack of food, medicine, and security has worsened the situation. International pressure for a ceasefire is increasing, and there is also a growing demand for the establishment of a Palestinian state.

Amid the escalating conflict in West Asia, a new multinational proposal has been presented for lasting peace in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. This proposal suggests that Israel should withdraw from Gaza and the West Bank, impose a ban on the terrorist organization Hamas, and establish an independent and unified Palestinian state.

This proposal was presented at a high-level conference in New York on July 29. Representatives from a total of 17 countries, including the European Union and the Arab League, attended this meeting. Indonesia, Senegal, Brazil, Canada, and Mexico also participated in this discussion. However, the United States and Israel did not participate in this important discussion.

Although this resolution may not immediately change the situation in Gaza, it is considered an attempt to increase international pressure on Israel. Notably, for the first time, Arab nations have taken an anti-Hamas stance and agreed to ban the organization, which is particularly noteworthy. Observers say this proposal is not just to stop the conflict, but also a step towards securing sovereign rights for the Palestinian people in the future.
