The world feels insecure due to the skills of Indian youth
(Piyush Goyal) U.S. President Donald Trump has decided to impose a new fee of $100,000 for H-1B visa applications. In response, Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal said that the skills of Indian youth are making the world feel insecure. Nevertheless, many countries are keen to enter into free trade agreements with India and increase trade.
Goyal said that many countries around the world have been impressed by the growth of India's economy. They are considering strengthening ties with India and opening up their markets. However, he also acknowledged that Indian talent, their knowledge, and innovation are proving to be challenging for the world.
According to them, if Indian students and professionals focus on domestic research and design instead of pursuing jobs or projects abroad, the economy will progress even faster. They stated that India recorded a growth of 7.8% in the first quarter, which is higher than the expectations of global economists.
Goyal further said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set a target to make India a developed nation by 2047, and the economy is rapidly moving in that direction. He expressed confidence that India will always emerge victorious, no matter the obstacles.
Meanwhile, Goyal is set to visit the United States on September 22, where important trade discussions will commence. Although the new U.S. visa policy has posed challenges for Indian IT companies and professionals, it is anticipated that mutually beneficial decisions may arise from the India-U.S. trade agreement.
