Sara Tendulkar has been appointed as the 'Brand Ambassador' for India for the special tourism campaign by the Australian government, which costs 13 crore dollars.
The Australian government is soon launching a grand tourism campaign called 'Come and Say G'day' to attract international tourists. As part of this campaign, local popular and trustworthy individuals are being appointed as 'Brand Ambassadors' to promote tourism in various countries. With Sara Tendulkar being chosen as the face in India, it is clear that she is now recognized as a superstar abroad as well. This campaign is being conducted at a massive cost of approximately 13 million dollars (approximately 1080 crore rupees), and through it, the government is attempting to attract international tourists to experience holidays in Australia.
The campaign will start in China from August 7. It will then be implemented in India, the United States, Britain, and other major countries. This campaign was first launched in 2022, and now its second edition is being presented in a more comprehensive form. The Australian government has invested a total of 250 million dollars in this initiative since 2022, and the campaign will continue globally over the next two years.
While Sara Tendulkar will be the face of the campaign in India, local celebrities have been chosen as representatives in other countries. This includes Robert Irwin from the USA, son of the famous wildlife conservationist Steve Irwin, as well as Nigella Lawson in Britain, renowned food writer and TV chef. Additionally, in China, Yo Sh Hu, a famous actor, and in Japan, Abereru-kun, a popular comedian and media personality.
