As temperatures rise and many people experience an increase in internal body heat, health experts suggest simple, natural remedies to help bring relief. Among the most effective methods is a daily foot massage using suitable ghee.

According to experts, massaging the feet with ghee and rubbing them gently with a clean cloth for 10 minutes once a day can significantly help reduce body heat. Another beneficial remedy includes soaking a handful of sali (Indian rice paddy) leaves in a cup of water overnight and drinking the filtered water the next morning.

Ayurvedic supplements such as Kamdudha and Praval Panchamrut tablets are also recommended. Taking these twice daily — once in the morning and once in the evening — can help balance heat in the body. Additionally, consuming one teaspoon of high-quality Panchatikta Ghee on an empty stomach in the morning is advised. In total, four to five teaspoons of suitable ghee should be consumed throughout the day to support cooling and internal balance.

Proper meal timing and sleep patterns also play a critical role. It is advisable to have lunch between 12:00 and 12:30 PM, and dinner between 7:30 and 8:00 PM. Sleeping by 11:00 to 11:30 PM further helps regulate body temperature and supports overall health.

Dietary adjustments are equally essential. Focus on consuming jowar (sorghum) and rice as primary grains. Incorporating mung beans in preparations like varan or amti is beneficial. Adding fruits and vegetables that grow on vines, and avoiding spicy or overly hot foods, is recommended. Substituting tamarind with cooling alternatives like amla (Indian gooseberry) or kokum (mangosteen) can further enhance the body’s ability to cool down naturally.

These simple yet effective remedies, if followed consistently, can help bring lasting relief from body heat and promote overall well-being.
