Air India Plane Crash: A 10-Minute Delay Saved Her Life, Says Bhumi Chauhan
The tragic Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad has shaken the entire nation, claiming the lives of 241 passengers and leaving many others critically injured. Amid this devastating event, a story of miraculous survival has come to light — that of Bhumi Chauhan, whose life was spared due to a last-minute delay.
Bhumi, who had returned to India from London after two years, was scheduled to board the ill-fated Air India flight to return to London after a short visit to Ahmedabad. The flight was originally set to take off at 1:38 PM, but due to traffic congestion in the city, Bhumi arrived at the airport ten minutes late, missing the boarding window. As a result, her ticket was canceled — an incident that, in hindsight, saved her life.
Speaking to the media, an emotional Bhumi said:
"I cannot express my feelings in words. When I heard about the accident, I was shocked. If I had been on that plane... I can’t even imagine it. I am safe today only because of the grace of Ganpati Bappa."
Bhumi’s family, deeply moved by her close escape, have expressed immense gratitude to God for her safety.
Meanwhile, the injured passengers from the crash are receiving treatment in various hospitals across Ahmedabad. Several remain in critical condition. An official investigation into the cause of the accident is underway, being jointly conducted by Air India, the Ministry of Civil Aviation, and experts from Boeing and
