Awaiting New NEET PG Exam Dates After Supreme Court's Postponement Decision

NBEMS decides to postpone NEET PG exam

The NEET PG 2025 exam, initially scheduled for June 15, has been postponed. The decision comes in light of a recent Supreme Court directive mandating that the examination be conducted in a single shift.

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) had earlier planned to hold the exam in two shifts on June 15. However, during a hearing last Friday, the Supreme Court emphasized the need for uniformity and fairness in the examination process and instructed that the test be administered in a single shift. The court also noted that there was sufficient time remaining for the board to make the necessary arrangements.

Following the court's order, NBEMS issued an official notification late on June 2 announcing the postponement. “In compliance with the Supreme Court's direction to conduct NEET PG 2025 in a single shift, the board requires additional time to identify more exam centers and upgrade the infrastructure accordingly,” the notice stated. “The revised schedule will be communicated shortly.”

Previously, the exam city slip for NEET PG candidates was slated for release on June 2 via the official website natboard.edu.in. However, instead of the slip, candidates were met with the notification regarding the postponement.

NBEMS has assured candidates that they need not worry. The exam city slips will be shared with registered candidates through their email IDs once the new date is announced, and candidates will be able to download them easily.

Further updates regarding the new exam schedule are expected to be released soon.
