NIA Arrests CRPF Jawan for Allegedly Sharing Secrets with Pakistan
In a significant development, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday arrested a CRPF personnel for allegedly leaking sensitive national security information to Pakistani intelligence officers. Following his arrest, the accused was immediately dismissed from service by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
According to an official statement by the NIA, the accused has been identified as Moti Ram Jat, who was serving as an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) in the CRPF. The agency stated, "The accused was actively involved in espionage activities and had been passing confidential information related to national security to Pakistani intelligence officers since 2023."
Sources suggest that the information shared could have posed a serious threat to the security apparatus of the country. The NIA has launched a thorough investigation to identify any additional individuals involved in the espionage network.
