IMD Weather Update: Showers and cold wave! Alert in 11 states of the country, North India to shiver again

As the cold is subsiding in many parts of the country, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of rain, storms, and strong winds in 11 states on February 15, indicating a possibility of increased cold in North India again. Winds are expected to blow at a speed of 40 kilometers per hour in Madhya Pradesh, West Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Arunachal Pradesh, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, which could adversely affect crops.
Light to moderate rain will occur in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh on February 16 and 17. A dense fog warning has been issued in 29 districts of Uttar Pradesh, such as Mathura, Agra, Aligarh, Jhansi, Bareilly, and visibility will be reduced in Gurugram, Hisar, Karnal in Haryana and Amritsar, Ludhiana, Jalandhar in Punjab in the morning, which may cause difficulties in road and rail traffic.
In Delhi, however, the sky will remain clear with a maximum temperature of 27 degrees and a minimum of 13 degrees Celsius, but on February 17-18, rain will occur in western Uttar Pradesh including Saharanpur, Aligarh, increasing the cold, while in Jabalpur, Rewa in Madhya Pradesh, there is a possibility of rain on February 18-19.
Due to a new western disturbance in Rajasthan, there will be light rain and winds on February 17-18, while in Bihar, there is a risk of cloudy weather and fog in Gaya and Purnia. However, the opposite picture is in the south, with temperatures in Maharashtra rising by 2-3 degrees to reach 31-33 degrees in Pune, Mumbai, and Konkan, and hot, humid weather will prevail in South Konkan-Goa.
