Ahilyanagar: Youth Nearly Hanged During Social Media Stunt

In Jamkhed, a young man made a video of himself pretending to be hanged to gain fame on social media and was actually hanged, but he narrowly escaped.

In a shocking incident highlighting the dangerous lengths some individuals go to for social media fame, a young man narrowly escaped death while attempting to film a reel simulating a hanging. The incident took place near Jamkhed on the Jamkhed–Karmala road, close to Khatkali. The youth, identified as Prakash Bhim Buda, works as a waiter at a local hotel. On the day of the incident, Prakash decided to create a reel portraying a mock execution. He handed his phone to a companion and asked him to record the act.

However, what began as a stunt quickly turned life-threatening. Prakash became entangled in the noose and began to asphyxiate. What was meant to be a dramatic video for social media took a terrifying turn as the young man was unintentionally hanged. Fortunately, the person accompanying him immediately contacted local social activist Kothari, who responded swiftly.

Due to timely intervention, Prakash's life was saved, narrowly avoiding a fatal tragedy. This incident serves as a grim reminder of the dangers of attempting risky stunts for online attention. Authorities and experts continue to urge the youth to exercise caution and prioritize safety over fleeting fame.
