Operation Sindoor: 100+ Terrorists Killed, 9 Camps Destroyed
In a major counter-offensive under Operation Sindoor, the Indian Armed Forces have destroyed nine terrorist camps operating in Pakistan, killing more than 100 terrorists in precision air strikes. The military action comes in the wake of the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, which claimed multiple lives and drew sharp condemnation across the nation.
According to official sources, the air strike was carried out with the intent to dismantle Pakistan-based terror infrastructure and to send a clear message that India will not tolerate cross-border terrorism. Despite India's efforts to de-escalate tensions along the Line of Control (LoC), Pakistan’s persistent provocations have forced a strong military response.
In addition to the air raids, Indian forces have also responded to Pakistani ceasefire violations along the border, resulting in the reported death of 10 Pakistani soldiers. In a further blow to Pakistan, reports indicate that a JF-17 fighter jet — part of the fleet acquired from China — was shot down by Indian defence systems.
India has reiterated that it seeks to avoid escalation but will respond decisively if provoked. Officials emphasized that the primary goal of the operation was to neutralize immediate threats and deter further infiltration attempts.
