Mumbai Local Megablock : Megablock on Western Railway today, Check Updated Timetable

Commuters on Mumbai’s Western Railway line are set to face major disruptions today as a mega block has been scheduled, leading to the cancellation of 89 local train services. The Western Railway has announced a 36-hour block starting from Saturday at 2:00 PM and continuing until Sunday at 1:00 AM, impacting operations on both the Fifth Line and Yard Line. The block has been implemented to facilitate the demolition of the elevated reservation office at Kandivali Yard, a crucial infrastructure task requiring suspension of certain train movements on both the Up and Down lines.

Details of Affected Services:

• On Western Railway:
  The Up and Down slow lines between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) and Vidyavihar will be affected from 10:55 AM to 3:55 PM today.
  During this period, slow local trains scheduled to depart between 10:48 AM and 3:45 PM will be diverted to fast lines.

• On Harbour Line (Sunday, June 2):
  A mega block will be in effect from 11:40 AM to 4:40 PM.
  As a result, services will remain suspended on the following routes:

  • CSMT to Wadala Road

  • Vashi to Belapur-Panvel

  • CSMT to Bandra-Goregaon

  The suspension will be in place from 11:16 AM to 4:47 PM.

To ease commuter inconvenience, special local services will run between Panvel and Kurla during the block period. Passengers are advised to check the updated train timetable, plan their journeys in advance, and use alternate routes where possible.
