Mumbai Local : Mumbai local train indicator will show station name and time

In a significant move to enhance commuter convenience, the Central Railway has introduced a new feature in Mumbai’s suburban local trains: the arrival time of upcoming stations will now be displayed on digital indicators inside the coaches. This initiative aims to provide real-time information to passengers while traveling.

Until now, digital indicators in local trains only showed the name of the upcoming station. However, with this new upgrade, they will also display the estimated arrival time at each station, including the next stop and final destination. The feature is designed to make local train travel more informative, especially during peak hours when crowds can make it difficult to identify stations. The Central Railway recently tested this system in 100 suburban trains, and after successful trials, it is now being gradually rolled out across more services.
