The deadline for filing nomination papers for the elections of 29 municipal corporations in the state has ended today. Many independent candidates, along with all major parties, filed nominations on the last day today. Internal dissatisfaction, rebellion, and independent contests are being witnessed in many places. Although alliances and coalitions have been formed in some cities, some parties have decided to contest the elections alone.
