This facility of EPFO will almost eliminate the need for employer approval. The Ministry of Labour and Employment said on Friday, April 25, that EPFO has made changes in Form 13. This will benefit more than 1.25 crore members. Also, EPFO has also started the facility of large-scale UAN generation by employers without Aadhaar seeding.

Earlier, two EPF offices had a role in transferring PF amount in case of job change. Along with the office from which the PF amount was to be transferred, the office where the amount was to be deposited also had to take action. There is a large number of job changes in the private sector. In such a case, they have to transfer their EPF account.

EPFO has removed the condition of employer's approval for transferring EPF account and now it will not be required in most cases. For this, EPFO has made changes in Form 13 software. As a result, there will be no need to take the approval of the destination office for transferring EPF account, but the EPF money will be transferred to the destination office after getting the approval from the source office.
