Currently, a full team of doctors is monitoring her condition, and treatment is underway under the guidance of a chest specialist. No official health routine has been issued yet by the Congress party or the hospital.

Long-term Health Issues; Impact of Pollution

Sonia Gandhi turned 79 on December 9, 2025. Soniaji, who has been suffering from a persistent cough, has been further affected by the increasing pollution in Delhi. As a result, she frequently visits the hospital for checkups. Due to various health-related issues over the past several years, her regular examinations continue. Treatment is ongoing under the supervision of doctors, and further information will be provided once there is an improvement in her condition.

Admitted several times before

Previously, on June 15, 2025, Sonia Gandhi was admitted to the surgical gastroenterology department of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital due to complaints of abdominal pain. She stayed there for three to four days. Just before that, on June 7, while spending a holiday at Priyanka Gandhi's residence in Shimla, her health suddenly deteriorated. She then returned to Delhi and underwent a medical checkup at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital on June 9. Currently, all situations are being monitored, and an official update on her health will be released soon.
