CBSE Board's scholarship scheme; Now students will get financial assistance
In a significant move to support higher education, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has launched a new scholarship scheme aimed at providing financial assistance to students pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate studies. The initiative is expected to benefit economically weaker students, enabling them to complete their education and pursue promising careers.
Amid rising inflation and the increasing cost of education, many students are forced to drop out or take student loans. Recognizing this challenge, the CBSE has introduced the Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students (CSSS). This scheme is being hailed as a golden opportunity for students who need financial support to complete their degrees.
Scholarship Details:
Undergraduate students will receive ₹12,000 per year.
Postgraduate students will receive ₹20,000 per year.
The scholarship amount is meant to cover essential educational expenses and reduce the financial burden on students from low-income families.
Application Deadline and Process:
The last date to apply for the scholarship is October 31, 2025. Interested students can apply online through the official National Scholarship Portal: scholarships.gov.in. CBSE officials have expressed hope that the scheme will not only reduce student dropouts due to financial constraints but also encourage academic excellence by motivating students to perform better. This initiative marks another step forward in the government's ongoing efforts to promote inclusive and accessible education for all.
