Jagdeep Dhankhar Steps Down as Vice President Citing Health Concerns
Jagdeep Dhankhar has resigned from the position of Vice President. He has resigned due to health reasons. In a letter to the President, he wrote, "To prioritize health services and follow medical advice, I am resigning from the position of Vice President of India with immediate effect under Article 67(a) of the Constitution," he clarified.
In the letter written to President Droupadi Murmu, they further wrote that I sincerely thank her for the delightful and wonderful working relationships that developed during my tenure and the unwavering support given by the country's President. I sincerely thank the Prime Minister and the Cabinet. The Prime Minister's cooperation is invaluable. I have learned a lot during my tenure.
Jagdeep Dhankhar wrote in the letter that the concern, trust, and love I received from all the members of Parliament will remain in my memory. I am sincerely grateful for the invaluable experiences and insights I gained as Vice President in the country's great democracy.
Further, they wrote, "Being a witness to and participating in the country's economic progress and unprecedented development during this important time is a great privilege and source of satisfaction for me."
