This meeting is expected to strengthen the nearly eight-decade-long India-Russia partnership. The discussions during the private dinner between the two leaders are believed to have created a positive atmosphere for the summit scheduled for next Friday, which could have a positive impact in the future. The main topics of the meeting are based on strengthening defense relations, protecting India-Russia trade from any country's pressure, and increasing cooperation in small modular nuclear plants. Western countries are also keeping an eye on this meeting, especially as this visit becomes more important when India-US relations are strained.

On Friday, Putin will be formally welcomed at the Presidential Palace, followed by a banquet at Hyderabad House for Modi and his delegation. Through a visit to Rajghat, Putin will pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. After the meeting, he will inaugurate the new channel of the state broadcaster and join the state banquet in honor of President Droupadi Murmu in the evening. Putin is expected to depart from India at nine-thirty at night.
