Important notice for citizens of Mumbai. In some areas, the water supply will be shut for 30 hours on Monday and Tuesday. The Mumbai Municipal Corporation has started pipeline cross-connection work, which will disrupt water supply in certain parts of the city. Work to connect the Amar Mahal underground tunnel near Chhedanagar Junction in Ghatkopar will begin on December 1 and continue until December 2.

Where will the water supply be shut?

Due to this work, water supply will be shut in areas including A, B, C, E, F South wards in South Mumbai and L, M, S, and N wards in the eastern suburbs, as well as Byculla, Mumbai Central, Dongri, Masjid Bunder, Sion, Wadala, Kurla, Chembur, Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, and Bhandup.

Notice to Citizens

The municipal corporation has requested citizens to use water sparingly and to store an adequate supply. The BMC stated, "This work will strengthen the long-term water supply system, so it cannot be postponed." Citizens have been advised to check the press release according to their ward and make the necessary preparations.
