Shocking incident : 39 students poisoned after eating panipuri in nanded

A shocking incident has taken place in Nanded's Vishnupuri area where as many as 39 college students have been poisoned after consuming panipuri. On Wednesday (April 16) night, the students started suffering from nausea and vomiting after consuming panipuri from a vendor on Kaleshwar Mandir Road. On Thursday morning, they were immediately admitted to government and private hospitals.

As the condition of the students deteriorated, all of them were taken to Dr. Shankarrao Chavan Government Medical College for treatment. Some have been discharged after treatment and some are undergoing treatment in a private hospital. Fortunately, the condition of all of them is stable now.

After the incident, the Food and Drug Administration Department took immediate action and inspected the shop of the panipuri seller. Samples of the food items have been taken and sent to the laboratory for testing. The administration has clarified that action will be taken against the culprit after the report.
