Aditi Tatkare's Major Announcement Regarding Ladki Bahin Yojana Funds
The 'Ladki Bahin' scheme started by the state government for women from low-income groups has become a topic of discussion. The aim of this scheme is to provide direct financial support to economically weaker women. Women whose household annual income is below two and a half lakh rupees receive an amount of ₹1500 directly into their bank accounts every month through this initiative. However, even after the end of August, the funds for this month had not been deposited into the accounts of the beneficiary women, leading to an atmosphere of dissatisfaction among thousands of women. Many had raised questions about this on social media.
In this regard, the state's Minister for Women and Child Welfare, Aditi Tatkare, has made an important announcement on her official 'X' account. She stated, “The honorarium fund for the Ladki Bahin Yojana will be deposited into the accounts of beneficiary women starting today.” This announcement has provided great relief to thousands of beneficiary women.
While launching this scheme, the government also set certain criteria. For example, families with an annual income exceeding 2.5 lakh rupees are excluded from this scheme. Additionally, women over the age of 65 will not benefit from this scheme. A limit has also been set that only two women from each family can avail of this scheme. Meanwhile, it has been found that in some places, ineligible women have taken advantage of this scheme based on false information. Therefore, the government machinery is now scrutinizing such names, and the process of removing the names of ineligible beneficiaries from the scheme has begun. In the coming period, the government is taking stricter measures to ensure that only eligible women receive the benefits. The 'Ladki Behen' scheme is providing a helping hand to thousands of women in the state financially, and it is proving to be promising for those in need.
