The moment that the public has been waiting for in Maharashtra's politics for the past two decades has finally arrived. Shiv Sena Thackeray faction leader Uddhav Thackeray and MNS president Raj Thackeray have come together to form an alliance for the municipal elections. After 20 years, Raj-Uddhav Thackeray are seen on the same platform following their alliance. On the occasion of the municipal elections, Sanjay Raut and Mahesh Manjrekar conducted a joint interview with Shiv Sena Thackeray faction chief Uddhav Thackeray and MNS president Raj Thackeray. In this interview, the Thackeray brothers gave a call for unity for the pride of Maharashtra. “We have come together to save Maharashtra,” both leaders clearly stated.

The issue of the existence of the Marathi people

At the beginning of this interview, Sanjay Raut asked why it took 20 years for this day to dawn. To this, Raj Thackeray gave a detailed answer. Some things happened, which should now be let go. The crisis currently facing Maharashtra and Mumbai is understood by the Marathi people. Today, this is not a matter of our personal existence but of the existence of the Marathi people. Maharashtra stands at a crossroads where it is a situation of 'now or never', said Raj Thackeray.

At this time, Uddhav Thackeray has made an emotional appeal. Although the emotional issue is that we two brothers have come together, the main purpose behind it is to unite the Marathi people. If we set up separate hearths among ourselves, those dreaming of breaking Maharashtra will take advantage. To save Maharashtra, it is the need of the hour to come together as Marathi beyond party lines, said Uddhav Thackeray.

Those dreaming of separating from Maharashtra are in power today

While recalling the Samyukta Maharashtra movement this time, Raj Thackeray made serious allegations against the central and state authorities. Every day, 56 trains full of people are coming to Maharashtra from the north, which has led to the formation of 8-9 municipal corporations in areas like Thane district. The language used is that we will make the mayor of Mumbai a North Indian, and this is not just for livelihood, but an effort to create their own constituencies. The same attempts to break Mumbai during the Samyukta Maharashtra period are visible today. Those dreaming of capturing Mumbai and separating it from Maharashtra are in power today, claimed Raj Thackeray.

If we do not face this unitedly today, Maharashtra will never forgive us. We have come together, setting aside all differences, to protect Mumbai, Thane, and the entire MMR region, said the Thackeray brothers during this interview.
