Pune-Mumbai highway's Goodluck Cafe is once again in the spotlight. This time, a customer shared a photo on social media claiming there was a cockroach in the egg bhurji he ordered. The customer also made the bill public, which has further escalated the matter. Currently, there is widespread discussion about this incident on social media, with many citizens raising questions about the cafe's cleanliness.

A few days ago, a complaint was made about finding glass in bun maska at Goodluck Cafe on Ferguson Road in Pune. Following that incident, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) temporarily revoked the license of the branch and ordered its closure. The FDA investigation revealed significant negligence regarding cleanliness at Goodluck Cafe. The investigation found that the staff working at the cafe did not have the necessary medical certificates, and the kitchen tiles were broken.

In some places, water had accumulated, the cleanliness condition inside the fridge was extremely poor, and open trash bins were found in the kitchen as well as outside the cafe area. Due to these deficiencies, the concerned branch has been temporarily closed, and permission to reopen will be granted only after improvements are made, officials have clarified. This traditional Iranian cafe, started in 1935, has been popular among Pune residents for many generations. Especially for bun maska, kheema pav, and caramel pudding, this place is particularly popular among the youth. However, due to constant food-related complaints, a question mark has now been raised over their brand.
