The pile of important documents found at the accident site testifies to Ajit Dada's dedication to his work. Ajit Pawar never abandoned the discipline and punctuality he maintained throughout his life, even until the end. On the day before his demise, on Tuesday, he had arrived at the ministry at nine in the morning. Between 9 and 9:30 in the morning, he reviewed the law and order situation in the state with senior officers of the State Intelligence Department and Mumbai Police. As the budget was approaching, a scheduled financial meeting was held at 9:30 thereafter.
After this, at 11:30 AM, before the cabinet meeting, he had a detailed discussion with the party's ministers. Even though some ministers were absent, Ajit Pawar prioritized administrative work and attended the meeting. After the cabinet meeting, he actively participated in the Chief Minister's Infrastructure Committee meeting. On Tuesday, after completing the work at the ministry, Ajit Pawar returned to the government residence 'Devagiri' as usual. He held the scheduled meeting of ministers and MLAs, which is held every Tuesday. In this meeting, the party's preparation, campaign planning, and organizational matters were reviewed in the backdrop of the upcoming district council elections.
After this, late at night, he went to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis's residence 'Varsha'. It is known that there was a detailed discussion about where the BJP and Ajit Pawar group can come together in the district council and municipal elections in the state. After this meeting, Ajit Pawar returned to Devgiri. On Wednesday morning, as usual, he was preparing to leave for Baramati. He had four meetings scheduled in Nirawagaj, Pandare, Karanjepul, and Supa for the district council election campaign in rural areas. Due to the cold in the state, the weather information of Baramati was taken. After receiving the message that the weather was favorable, Ajit Pawar left for the airport at 7:30 in the morning.
