The overflowing sorrow of farmers in Marathwada, the government's dismissive stance, and the empty promises form the backdrop against which Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) party chief and former Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray once again launched a fierce attack on Devendra Fadnavis. Speaking at a farmer interaction program in Karjakhada (Tal. Gevrai), Thackeray said, "Where is Fadnavis, who promised to clear the land records, today? Where did the one who promised to clear the land records go, you thief?"

While making this comment, Thackeray directly referred to an old audio clip of Fadnavis before the assembly elections. In that clip, Fadnavis had promised to clear the farmers' loan records, but that promise has not been fulfilled to date, criticized Thackeray, saying, "The promises made by the deceptive Chief Minister have vanished into thin air. Votes were sought by showing farmers the dream of loan waivers, but now even when their lives are in crisis, the government remains silent."

In this program, Uddhav Thackeray made it clear that, “Loan waiver is not a taunt, but it is the voice of justice for the farmers.” He stated that until loan waivers are granted and crop insurance rights are obtained, do not vote for the grand alliance. He mentioned that while the condition of farmers is worsening day by day, there is no sensitivity in the government's decisions. “The Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister cannot tolerate criticism. But we are not criticizing, we are stating the reality. Speaking for the rights of farmers is not a crime,” said Thackeray, holding a mirror to the government.

In Marathwada, over the past two months, excessive rainfall, cloudbursts, and hailstorms have caused significant damage to farmers. Against this backdrop, Thackeray questioned the government's announced aid of 32,000 crore rupees. The government provides figures, but after visiting villages, the reality appears different, he noted. "The farmers' fields were washed away, but the government's sensitivity was washed away," he said.

In his speech, Uddhav Thackeray not only targeted the government but also made an emotional reference to his own political journey. He said, “I am not just making noise as an opposition party. My aim is not politics, but to seek justice for the farmers. They stole my party, stole the symbol, but my people are still in place, you cannot steal them.” “I waived off loans as my duty, not as a favor. Today, I have nothing, yet I have strength, which is my workers and the people.”

Due to heavy rainfall, crops and lands of farmers in many parts of Marathwada have been washed away. Against this backdrop, Uddhav Thackeray said, “Not only have the farmers' lands been washed away, but their lives have also been swept away. If we do not support these washed-away lives, what will we do in the future?” He accused the government, saying, “They know everything, where what is going, whose land has been washed away, but still they will loot. Even after recording the farmers' pain, no solutions are found.”

“The Chief Minister is busy because he is in Bihar. Farmers here are crying out, and he says over there, ‘This is an inside matter, the PM loves Bihar!’” “He won votes here by giving one and a half thousand to the sisters and forgot, but gave ten thousand in Bihar. What about the rights of the sisters in Maharashtra? Will the Chief Minister explain how the benefit of the bank will reach the farmers without benefiting them?” Through this statement, Thackeray targeted both Deputy Chief Minister Shinde and Chief Minister Fadnavis.

“Farmers in the state are in distress, I hear their plight every day. It's not that I can't do anything because I'm not in the government; it is my duty to stand with them. Because this power has been given by the people, and no one can take it away.” Former opposition leader Ambadas Danve, MP Omprakashraje Nimbalkar, MLA Kailas Patil, MLA Praveen Swami, along with hundreds of Shiv Sena officials from the district, were present at this event. Through this dialogue, Thackeray once again brought the issues of farmers to the center of politics.
