Devendra Fadnavis : 'As long as your Devabhau is Chief Minister, until then…'; Fadnavis's statement sparks discussions
In the public meeting held at Pathardi, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis emphasized urban development and made an important announcement regarding the Ladki Bahin scheme. Fadnavis visited the city to campaign for the candidates of Pathardi Municipality. During this time, he noted that after independence, attention was focused on the development of villages for many decades, but cities were neglected. Various schemes like Smart City, AMRUT, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban, Har Ghar Jal Urban, and Swachh Bharat Mission were launched for cities under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi after 2014.

Fadnavis informed that more than 3 million houses have been provided under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Maharashtra. He also highlighted the government's decision to regularize encroachments and provide ownership rights to residents. He stated that the goal is to deliver clean water to every household through the Har Ghar Jal scheme to solve water issues. He emphasized projects like solid waste management, compost and energy production from waste, and the 220 crore rupees underground sewerage scheme. He clarified that as long as Devabhau is your Chief Minister, no one can stop the Ladki Bahin scheme; it will continue. He urged voters to elect the candidates of the Bharatiya Janata Party and the alliance to achieve the goal of urban development.
