Ashish Shelar: "...how they can ruin" Ashish Shelar's advice to Raj Thackeray
While speaking to journalists in Mumbai, Minister Ashish Shelar strongly criticized MNS President Raj Thackeray and the Thackeray brothers. He accused them of taking a stance that industries should not come to Maharashtra, investments should stop, and the jobs that young people get from them should cease.
Shelar said, “Our firm stance is that Marathi people should get jobs. But Raj Thackeray is consistently speaking against industry and investment, which is harming the youth.” He also advised Raj Thackeray to be cautious of his advisors.
While criticizing the Adani group, Shelar also mentioned that facts are not being checked. He clarified that the claim that the Adani group's growth has only occurred in the last ten years is incorrect, as the group started in 1988. He also stated that making direct allegations is wrong when there are legal institutions like the Competition Commission and NCLT.
Shelar cited several projects to explain how the Thackeray brothers opposed job creation. Bullet train, Nanar-Barsu refinery, Jaitapur nuclear power project, Mumbai Metro, and Vadhavan port – all these projects could create millions of jobs, but the Thackeray brothers opposed these projects, he alleged. Finally, Shelar said, “This election is about sending home the leaders who hinder Maharashtra's development and increase unemployment.”
