Ashish Shelar: Ashish Shelar launches a strong attack on Thackeray brothers calling it 'Vote Jihad'
Against the backdrop of the political controversy that began after the state assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party held a press conference today where Ashish Shelar made serious allegations against the opposition. The party's spokesperson accused the Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi (MVA) and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) of raising the issue of “duplicate voters” for political gain, presenting several pieces of evidence at this press conference.
The spokesperson said, “In the past few days, the Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi and both Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray have tried to cast doubt on the election process. Sometimes on voting machines, sometimes on the list, sometimes on the Election Commission, a planned false narrative is being created in this manner.” The BJP clarified that according to their stance, “Justice for all, but a stance against appeasement” will remain.
The BJP alleged that Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray have tried to divide voters on the basis of caste and religion. Quoting a statement from Raj Thackeray's recent speech, the spokesperson asked, “Raj Thackerayji, do you only see duplicate voters as Hindi or Dalit people? Is this the same stance for Marathi voters?” They further stated, “You say elections should be pure, we agree with that. But the intention should be pure when raising the issue of duplicate voters.”
