Bacchu Kadu: Bacchu Kadu's Rail Roko Protest Cancelled After Discussion with Chief Minister
The movement initiated by Prahar Sanghatana's leader and MLA Bacchu Kadu for the demand of farmers' loan waiver has now reached a decisive stage. For the past month, Kadu, who has been presenting farmers' issues through the movement across the state, has canceled the planned 'Rail Roko' movement in Nagpur today. It is learned that this decision was made after ongoing discussions with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. It is understood that Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and Eknath Shinde, as well as senior officials, participated in these discussions. A significant decision is likely to be made in this meeting regarding the demand to clear farmers' land records.
Meanwhile, a hearing was held today in the public interest petition regarding the farmers' movement at the Nagpur bench of the Mumbai High Court. At this time, Bachchu Kadu's lawyer Hariom Dhage informed the court about the cancellation of the 'Rail Roko' movement. The court has welcomed this decision and has directed the administration to maintain law and order.
While speaking to the media, Bachchu Kadu said, “Our only demand is that farmers get justice. We expect a concrete decision from the government.” Now, farmers across the state are focused on what decision will be made regarding farm loan waivers at the high-level meeting to be held at Sahyadri Guest House in Mumbai on Thursday.
