Big Update! Chief Minister Fadnavis' Major Statement on Ladki Bahin Yojana
The state government has launched the Ladki Bahin Yojana for women from families with an income of less than two and a half lakh. In this scheme, women receive one and a half thousand rupees deposited into their bank accounts every month. This scheme has now received a major relief as some women's names are being excluded from it.
Initially, the government had set some conditions, but it has come to light that even women who were not eligible have availed of this scheme. Some women have taken advantage of this scheme even while working in government jobs. As a result, the government has decided to exclude the names of such ineligible women.
However, the opposition alleges that this scheme will soon be discontinued. They have shown that some women's names are being excluded, and the opposition has strongly criticized this. The opposition claims that this scheme was only for the elections. Responding to this, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis clarified the government's position. He said, "We will not let any scheme we have started be discontinued. As long as Devendra Fadnavis, Shinde Saheb, and Ajit Pawar are there, the Ladki Bahin scheme will continue."
Fadnavis has also promised to provide farmers with 12 hours of electricity for 365 days after 2026 and free electricity for five years. The government has initiated the KYC process to exclude the names of ineligible women from the scheme.
