Bjp - Shivsena Rada : Tension between BJP-Thackeray Group in Worli; Heavy Police Deployment

(Bjp - Shivsena Rada ) :There was a huge commotion on Thursday in the Worli area of Mumbai as BJP and Shiv Sena Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray group workers clashed with each other. The tension between the two parties over the workers' union at the St. Regis Hotel, which had been ongoing for the past few days, finally erupted. The Thackeray group's workers' union has been active in this hotel for many years. However, the conflict arose when the BJP attempted to establish a new union here.

The BJP had started the process of contacting some workers to gain support for a new union. Upon learning this, activists from the Thackeray faction became aggressive. Subsequently, a large number of activists from both parties gathered in the hotel area, and the atmosphere became tense. During this time, the Thackeray faction's activists took down and tore the board put up by the BJP in the area. The tearing of the board further increased the anger on both sides, and loud slogans began. Eyewitnesses reported that there was some pushing and shoving at the gate of St. Regis. The hotel administration also had to increase security to handle the situation. The police immediately dispatched a team to the scene, providing a security cover to the area. Additional police arrangements have been made to prevent the conflict from escalating. The Thackeray faction has strongly objected to the union initiative taken by the BJP. "Our union has been active here for many years. Now, using power, the BJP is trying to forcibly create a union," alleged the Thackeray faction. They claim that efforts are being made to attract or pressure some workers towards the BJP.

Thackeray group's officials are gathering outside the hotel and demanding the immediate removal of BJP officials from the area. "If a union is formed irregularly or illegally, we will respond in the Shiv Sena way," they have clearly warned. Therefore, it is anticipated that this conflict may escalate in the coming days. Meanwhile, although there has been no official response from the BJP on this matter, some local party workers have expressed, "Many workers in the hotel wish to join us. We are not breaking any rules." However, the Thackeray group claims that the entire movement is part of political pressure.

The Worli area is considered politically significant. Therefore, the political consequences of this incident may also be seen. Currently, there is tight security in the St. Regis area, and the police have appealed for peace to both groups.
