Dhule Municipal Corporation : BJP's Flag Again on Dhule Municipal Corporation, Mayadevi Pardeshi Mayor
The Bharatiya Janata Party has once again established undisputed dominance over the Dhule Municipal Corporation and gained power. In the mayoral election, BJP's Mayadevi Pardeshi secured a clear majority and achieved victory. Along with her, BJP's Jyotsna Patil was elected as the deputy mayor. With this victory, the BJP's flag has once again flown over the Dhule Municipal Corporation.
The election process for the positions of Mayor and Deputy Mayor was conducted under the chairmanship of Returning Officer Bhagyashree Vispute. In this election, Mayadevi Pardeshi received support from as many as 50 councilors. Securing a clear majority, she defeated the candidates of the Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar faction), Shiv Sena, and MIM.
For the position of Mayor, the joint candidate of the Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar faction) and Shinde faction, Geeta Tushar Navale, received only 13 votes, while the MIM candidate Haseena Bano Sajid had to be content with 10 votes. Additionally, one councilor remained neutral.
Along with the mayoral position, BJP's Jyotsna Patil was also elected as deputy mayor by a majority. This double victory for the BJP has dealt a major blow to the opposition parties, and the political equations in the municipal corporation have completely tilted in favor of the BJP.
After this victory, celebrations were held outside the municipal election department by the BJP. Activists expressed their joy by bursting firecrackers and congratulating each other. BJP leaders are expressing the expectation that the development of Dhule city will now gain momentum under new leadership.
