ST Employees : 'Bomb Maro' protest by ST employees on February 24; pressure on the government for salary increment difference
The ST employees in the state have warned of launching a 'Bomb Maro' agitation on February 24, demanding immediate payment of the installment amount of the wage increase difference. The ST employee unions, while providing information in this regard, stated that the installment of the wage increase difference has not yet been received from the government's finance department, leading to intense dissatisfaction among the employees.
According to the unions, the installment of the wage increase difference, which was supposed to be received this month, has not been credited to the employees' accounts. This has severely impacted employees who are facing financial difficulties. “The difference in wage increase is our right and it is necessary to receive it on time. The concerned officials in the finance department are responsible for this,” alleged the representatives of the unions.
Meanwhile, an official notice regarding the protest has been given to the state government through the Additional Chief Secretary of the Transport Department. It has also come to light that correspondence regarding this has been made with the Additional Secretary. This protest will be held in various depots across the state on February 24, and the organizations have made it clear that employees will be raising strong slogans.
Thousands of employees from the ST Corporation are likely to participate in this protest. The organizations have also warned that if the installment of the wage increase difference is not distributed immediately, the protest will be intensified. It is being speculated that this protest may impact the ST services and administration in the state. Everyone is now focused on what stance the government will take on this matter.
