After many Indigo flights were canceled, other airlines have significantly increased their ticket prices. The Modi government has now decided to put a stop to this arbitrary fare increase. To prevent arbitrary fare hikes, the government has implemented fare limits. The rules that have been implemented will apply to all airlines, and adherence to the fare limits will be mandatory. The central government has also clarified that these fare limits will remain in effect until the situation normalizes.

Ministry to conduct real-time monitoring

The ministry has clarified that citizens traveling in emergency situations during this period should not have to bear any financial burden. Real-time monitoring of airfares will be conducted by the ministry using data from airlines and online travel platforms. If any airline is found violating the prescribed rules, immediate action will be taken against it.

Exorbitant Fare Increase After Indigo Flights Canceled
