Pune Sarasbagh Diwali Pahat: Chaos at Pune's Sarasbagh Diwali Pahat Event; Heavy Police Presence Deployed

Due to threats received via social media, the Diwali Pahat event at Sarasbagh was canceled today. However, as the police assured security, the 'Govardhan Pahat Diwali' event will take place at Sarasbagh as originally planned on the day of Padwa.

In the backdrop of the protests following the filming of Namaz at Shaniwarwada, Shah decided on Monday to cancel the Diwali Pahat event at Sarasbaug due to the threatening videos circulated on social media.

However, after discussions with Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar, Shah clarified that the event will proceed as planned. Meanwhile, there were also scenes of chaos at the Sarasbaug Diwali Pahat event in Pune. Due to a minor dispute between two groups, a large police presence has been deployed outside Sarasbaug. The dispute arose due to a collision, but it has been resolved with police mediation.
