Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana : Reduction in Expenses and Beneficiaries

The state government has spent 43,045.06 crore rupees for the Chief Minister's My Beloved Sister scheme from July 2024 to June 2025. RTI activist Jitendra Ghadge provided information about this scheme, revealing the details of the expenditure incurred for the scheme.

For the financial year 2025-26, the government has allocated 36,000 crore rupees for the scheme, but the average monthly expenditure in the first year has been 3,587 crore rupees. If the number of beneficiaries does not decrease, the scheme could strain the state's treasury.

• Expenditure of 43,045 crore rupees from July 2024 to June 2025.

• There were 2.47 crore beneficiaries in April 2025.

• The number of beneficiaries decreased by 9% by June 2025.

Statement by Chief Minister Fadnavis:

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stated, "The Chief Minister's My Beloved Sister Scheme will never be discontinued. We will not allow the schemes we have started to be stopped under any circumstances." He clarified this regarding the scheme at a program in Phaltan.
