CM Devendra Fadnavis On Maratha Reservation : The state's Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis assured the OBC community that their rights will not be hindered due to the Maratha reservation process. Only those individuals from the Maratha community whose Kunbi records are found in documents will benefit from the reservation. He clarified that the opportunities or positions allocated to OBCs will not be reduced.
Fadnavis was speaking at the 234th government anniversary celebration of Adyakrantiveer Umaji Naik in Bhiwdi, Purandar Taluka. He stated that true social equality cannot be achieved without the progress of the OBC community. For this, various schemes are being implemented by the government, and in the future, if there are any demands, the government will strive to fulfill them.
Fadnavis said that the government's policy is clear: “Do not take a share from one community to give to another.” He reiterated that only those eligible based on the Hyderabad Gazette records from the Nizam era will be given certificates. This will keep the rights of the OBCs intact and prevent confusion in society, he appealed.
He further said that bringing OBCs into the mainstream is a priority for the government. If the community makes demands, the government is committed to fulfilling them. "Keep asking, and we will give as much as possible," Fadnavis's assurance has provided relief to the OBC community.
