Weather Update : Cold Wave Active Again! Cold Wave Warning in the State, Significant Drop in Minimum Temperature
For the past few days, there has been a continuous change in the weather in the state. While severe cold is being experienced in northern states, it was felt that the cold had reduced in Maharashtra for some time. However, now the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a major cold wave warning for the state, and it is predicted that the cold may intensify again in the coming days.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of a drop in minimum temperature by 3 to 4 degrees Celsius in some parts of Vidarbha and North Maharashtra. Notably, Dhule district recorded the lowest temperature in the state, with a temperature of 9 degrees Celsius recorded here. Gondia recorded 9.8 degrees, while Yavatmal and Parbhani recorded 10 degrees Celsius. As a result, citizens are facing severe cold in the morning and night.
However, on the other hand, the afternoon sun is scorching, and the maximum temperature is expected to remain around 30 degrees Celsius. Due to this temperature variation, the changing environment is likely to have a direct impact on the health of citizens. There is a possibility of an increase in cold, cough, fever, and respiratory-related illnesses, so citizens are urged to take special care.
In the Marathwada region, there is currently a gradual increase in minimum temperature. However, according to the weather department's forecast, this increase is temporary, and the cold will start to rise again afterward. This year, many districts in Marathwada have experienced severe cold, and the chill is likely to be felt again in the coming days.
Meanwhile, the weather in Pune city and surrounding areas is expected to remain stable for the next two days. Due to the increase in minimum and maximum temperatures in Pune over the past two days, the heat has intensified. The weather department has predicted that the heat will persist for the next two days.
Along with these weather changes, there is a rapid increase in air pollution. Particularly in many parts of North India, including Delhi, air pollution has reached severe levels. Against this backdrop, the weather department has issued a rain warning for Delhi and surrounding areas, which may provide some relief from pollution. Overall, there are clear indications that the cold, which had disappeared from the state, is becoming active again.
