IndiGo : Crisis continues on the fifth day, all IndiGo flights canceled at Mumbai airport
Currently, the crisis in air travel in the country continues. Indigo, the country's largest airline, is facing a shortage of crew members. More than 2000 Indigo flights have been canceled across the country in the last four days. On Saturday, the fifth day, all Indigo flights departing from Mumbai airport were canceled. Additionally, there is an almost tenfold increase in airfares on other routes. On the other hand, three domestic flights from Thiruvananthapuram airport were canceled. From midnight to 6 AM on December 6, seven arrivals and 12 departures were canceled at Ahmedabad airport.
Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu said regarding the cancellation of Indigo flights, our immediate priority is to restore normalcy and provide all possible assistance to passengers. We are closely monitoring this and adhering to FDTL rules and schedule network. We will conduct a thorough investigation and ensure that all airlines take appropriate precautions.
Committee Established for Inquiry
To determine where the mistake occurred and whose fault it was, we have established a committee to investigate this entire matter. Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu said, we will take necessary action in this case. This matter should not be ignored. We are taking strict action so that whoever is responsible for this will have to pay the price.
