Our opinion regarding Tapovan is that cutting trees is not right. Trees should be cut as little as possible. But we also have to take reality into account. We should consider why the municipal corporation made this decision. The Kumbh Mela held in Prayagraj took place on 15 thousand hectares of land. In Nashik, the area of Sadugram is 350 acres. In Nashik city, apart from Ramban and Sadugram, there is no other place. Due to the density of trees, it is not possible to prepare Sadugram at the current location. Moreover, if we look at Google images from 2015-16, not a single tree can be seen at this location. At that time, under the state government's program of planting 50 crore trees, the municipal corporation had planted these trees. But cutting trees on such a large scale is not right. We are thinking about this matter. We will remove some large trees and relocate them. But it is wrong to politicize this issue. Our ancient and eternal tradition is the Kumbh Mela. The Kumbh Mela strengthens our connection with the environment. For this Kumbh Mela, we will undertake the Clean Godavari campaign. Therefore, there will be no unnecessary tree cutting in Tapovan. Only the necessary trees will be cut, said Devendra Fadnavis.
