Devendra Fadnavis Slams Rahul Gandhi Over Voter List Allegations
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis launched a sharp attack on Congress leader and Lok Sabha Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi, following Gandhi’s recent article raising concerns over alleged irregularities in the Maharashtra Assembly election voter list.
In his article, Rahul Gandhi questioned the increase in the number of voters during the election period compared to previous years, suggesting possible manipulation. His allegations have sparked strong reactions across political circles in the state.
Responding to the claims, Chief Minister Fadnavis said,
"Rahul Gandhi thinks that if he lies every day, people will eventually believe him. He keeps repeating the same baseless claims. He had made similar allegations in the past as well."
Fadnavis further added, "Everyone is aware of how much the Election Commission increased the number of voters during the previous elections and the current one. But it seems Rahul Gandhi has developed a habit of lying daily — perhaps to convince himself."
This exchange has further intensified the political tension as Maharashtra prepares for the upcoming Assembly elections. The Election Commission has yet to comment on the allegations made by Gandhi.
