Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has expressed confidence that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will soon visit to pay respects to Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar, stating that Modi is committed to seeking her blessings in the near future.

A grand program was organized in Ahilyanagar to mark the 300th birth anniversary of Punyashlok Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar. The event saw the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. While invitations had been extended to both the Prime Minister and the President of India, they were unable to attend due to prior commitments.

Speaking at the event, Fadnavis said, "The Prime Minister was indeed invited. During our meeting, it was mutually agreed that future events should be organized at key historical sites—birthplaces and places of work. The Prime Minister has assured us that he will definitely visit next time. Currently, celebrations are being held in Madhya Pradesh. Both the Prime Minister and the President will come for darshan soon."

Fadnavis went on to emphasize Ahilyabai Holkar’s immense contribution to India’s cultural and spiritual legacy, stating, "She ruled for 28 years with wisdom and devotion. If any name is mentioned in the same breath as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, it must be that of Ahilya Devi."

He further reflected on India’s spiritual strength and the challenges posed by historical invasions: "These invaders understood that India's true power lies in its spirituality and devotion. The energy that flows through our temples, ghats, and sacred sites is the root of our inspiration. To break that spirit, they targeted our temples in Kashi, Ayodhya, and Mathura, as well as the Jyotirlingas. In such times, Ahilyadevi stood strong and declared that her duty was not limited to her kingdom alone."

The event paid tribute to Ahilyabai Holkar’s role in rebuilding temples and preserving Indian culture, showcasing her as a symbol of strength, vision, and spiritual leadership.
