The country of Yemen has given this cyclone the name Ditwah. Due to this cyclone, chaos has erupted in Sri Lanka, and it is now slowly moving towards India. In this context, the Meteorological Department has issued a warning and a high alert has been declared in some states. In Sri Lanka, 46 people have died so far because of this cyclone, while 23 people are still missing and the search for them is ongoing. Rescue teams are working at a war footing. According to information provided by the Meteorological Department, in the next 12 hours this cyclone will become even more intense and will move forward. This cyclone poses a major threat to India.

This cyclone has wreaked havoc in Sri Lanka. In the past 24 hours, Sri Lanka has received an enormous 300 millimeters of rain. Due to the torrential downpour, landslides have occurred in many parts of the country. The eastern and central regions of Sri Lanka have been hit the hardest by this cyclone. So far, 46 people have died due to the rain, and 23 people are missing; the search for the missing citizens is ongoing. Meanwhile, the cyclone has now moved towards India, and in this context, the Indian Meteorological Department has issued a high alert. In light of this, many flights have also been canceled.

Against the backdrop of this cyclone, high alert has been issued for the states of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Kerala, and the weather department has urged fishermen not to venture into deep seas. In the meantime, due to this cyclone, the weather in these states will remain very bad until the 30th, and the weather department has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in many places.
