The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has made a decision that increases global tension. He has ordered the U.S. Department of Defense to immediately commence nuclear tests. This decision has caused international concern, and Russia has promptly warned the United States. Trump has stated, “Russia and China have continued their nuclear tests. The United States can no longer lag behind. These tests are necessary for our security and strategic strength.” This statement has caused a significant stir in global politics.

Russia has also given a direct response. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov says, “If America is resuming nuclear tests, we will also take necessary steps. Appropriate responses will be given if the situation is serious.” He emphasized that such decisions could pose a threat to global peace, but Russia will exercise restraint. Tensions between America and Russia have been escalating over the past few weeks. Russia recently successfully tested a cruise missile, after which America has also permitted nuclear tests.

Since 1992, the United States has not conducted an actual nuclear test. After that, under the “Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty,” all countries were urged to stop testing. Due to Trump's orders, the implementation of that treaty is now in question.
